How much does it cost?

  • One-time, $50 registration
  • $1 for each poem you submit to Poetic Effect for tracking
  • $8 per submission (a group of poems, cover letter, and SASE)

How do I start?

Poetic Effect is a service for advanced poets, and first, you need to be accepted as a client. After that, we'll work together to select work for submission and the journals to which to submit.

Claudia Stanek

Poet Claudia M. Stanek, owner/manager of Poetic Effect, reviews all work. She  holds an MFA from Bennington College, is a member of the Academy of American Poets, The Poetry Society of America, The Association of Writers & Writing Programs, The Arts & Cultural Council of Greater Rochester, Writers & Books, and is a founding member of Just Poets. She co-edited several anthologies (for Pallettes & Quills and Foothills Publishing) and is a former managing editor of The Bennington Review.
