Literary Journal Submission Preparation
Poetic Effect starts with market research to identify those literary journals that might be interested in publishing your work and are open to submissions. From there, we prepare personalized submission packets consists of the following:
- Custom cover letter for you to approve and sign.
- The number of your poems specified by that journal's guidelines. (More information about how many to submit is on our FAQ page.)
- SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelope).
- Addressed envelopes in which your work will be sent to the journals.
The service also includes the creation and maintenance of a personal database to record and track all your submissions. You will be able to view your database online upon request.
NEW! Chap Book and Full-Length Manuscript Submission Preparation
Chapbook and full-length book manuscript submission preparation are now available. Again, we start with research to determine where your manuscript may be best suited. Each prepared manuscript submission consists of the following:
- Properly formatted manuscript.
- SASE for notification.
- Custom cover letter.
- Labeled envelopes in which your manuscript will be sent.
Submission packets for chap books are $12.00 each. Packets for full-length manuscripts are $14.00.
